If there's one thing Juday Goggins has learned from 25 years experience in the quality field, it's that there's always a way to do things better. Since a business's success hinges first and foremost on quality, her goal is to satisfy customers and outshine the competition.

As quality manager for Reliable Plating Works and it subsidiary, Elite Finishing, she turns her insatiable quest for excellence into new information, innovations and process improvements.

Working in the plastic molding and metal faucet industry, she gained the know-how and instinct to make things happen. Since she joined the company three years ago, Juday has set up quality systems for Reliable and Elite, drafted quality manuals; and developed new quality-conscious procedures.

Juday is also involved in quality reporting and data collection, helps monitor conformance to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, and belongs to national organizations like the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society (NESF) where she exchanges insights and ideas with other members. She has also been a member of ASQ (American Society of Quality) since 1981.

"Our companies have many initiatives in place to measure and improve the quality we provide at every stage of the process," she says. "It's important to find small problems before they become big ones, take corrective action, and create documentation so they don't occur again."

"We consistently achieve excellent outcomes, but every day presents new opportunities to do it better," Juday says. "That's what makes my work challenging and exciting."

During her free time, Juday enjoys fishing, kayaking and camping. She lives near West Bend with her husband, son and stepson.
