» Meet the RPW Team
Julian Maliszewski joined the company in April 1929 and became the company's bookkeeper. At that time RPW employed five people who ran polishing and buffing equipment, as well as, hand dipping Copper, Nickel, Chrome, Cadmium and Zinc plating.
Julian bought the company in January of 1947 and ran it as a proprietorship until its incorporation in 1970. Julian's son, John (Big John), joined RPW in 1953. In 1967, at John's urging, RPW added its first automated Nickel / Chrome plating line in 1967. John also noticed the increasing concerns about the environmental impact of plating operations so in 1970, the company dropped Copper, Cadmium, and Zinc from its services. These finishes were dropped because John knew it would be easier to properly treat a waste stream that was not mixed. He also wanted to become "The Nickel / Chrome Specialist" and not another "jack of all trades, master of none". With the space made available from this move RPW installed its second automated Nickel / Chrome plating line.
Over time Big John's three sons, John "Jack", Jeffrey and Jaime, joined the company. Jack serves as Vice President of Production, Jeffrey as Vice President of Quality Assurance, and Jaime as President. RPW now has over 95 employees. In 1984 they added a second facility that houses one of Wisconsin's largest Nickel / Chrome plating lines. The company has three fully automated Nickel / Chrome plating lines that are capable of over 2000 square feet of plating per hour and part sizes up to 24" x 58" x 108". These are complimented by fully automated polishing and buffing equipment.
RPW enjoys a strong reputation within its industry and community. Our company's managers have long held leadership positions in the American Electroplating and Surface Finishing trade association. We have taken a leadership role in reducing wastes and preserving the environment. We have received local and statewide awards for these efforts. RPW has received supplier awards (based on product quality, service, and on-time delivery) from The West Bend Company and In-Sink-Erator & Mfg. Co.. These efforts have been noticed by many trade publications that have written several articles about our Company and its employees. These same trade associations use our Company name and employees in their advertising campaigns.
In our most recent growth we developed Brilliance, LLC. This Company forms an alliance with three other Electroplating Powerhouses in Milwaukee. Our alliance combines our Engineering, Purchasing, Human Resources, Marketing and Environmental Departments to give us a huge advantage over our competition. Let us use this advantage to serve your Company's needs. |
